Graham Paige Truck at city garage
Sarah Alvey's DC ornament; this was sent to the State Historical Society to be placed on a tree to represent each County of the state.

Alarm bell at West End fire station, owned by the Society and on loan to the Station.
Washington High School before it was torn down and the present school built. Note the home in the lower right dates from 1875, a large brick structure on the corner of Walnut and 7th. The current (2007) structure is undergoing renovation.
Colbert Farms is on CR 450 South in Veale Township. Recently Doug Terrell was interviewed about his knowledge of the seed corn industry which included Colbert Farms. The building in the photo has equipment used to sort and clean the hybrid corn developed after World War II by Colbert Farms. There were five seed corn companies in Daviess County. |
